Fifteen songs with the unique, almost primal, voice of Kati Dali, in collaboration with the excellent musicians - members of the State Orchestra of Greek Music, Stavros Xarhakos' orchestra.
On a cloudy day, Stavros Xarhakos meets Kati Dali in a basement of Victoria Square. And there, through the smoke emitted by the loyal patrons, the light was born. A unique voice, pure, folk, which managed to remain untouched by any trappings of consumerism, floods the barely eighty square meters of the basement space like a "divine" melody.
Katie Dali had collaborated in the past with great names, such as Tsitsanis, Zambetas and Gavalas. However - intentionally or coincidentally - perhaps due to her long absence in America, she never became very well known to the wider public. Throughout the years, she remained the "muse" of the few, perhaps select few, who chose to visit her in the venues that occasionally hosted her unique popular voice.
So, that cloudy evening in Victoria Square was a real revelation for Stavros Xarchakos. At the end of the evening, moved, he kissed her hand politely and greeted her with a promise: "We will meet again."
And so it happened. They met again, on the occasion of the new CD entitled "Lady Katie and I", released by LEGEND, whose orchestration, selection and some of the songs are signed by Stavros Xarchakos.
The new album of Katie Dalis is expected with great interest, as Katie managed, all the years that she was absent from the discography, to have a lively relationship with her audience, and above all many loyal fans of her voice.
